As I have been indicating that I’m going through life’s things but that don’t mean I will not update you on everything I attended, the events may be delayed but… In the Month of June we were invited and attended David presents interns fashion show. Most may know I’m not a fashion person, to a large extent I don’t understand it so, this would not be a pulling factor kum. I had my camera with me but I was not sure if I wanted to cover a fashion show until David took to stage to give us (people like myself) the history/back-ground behind the fashion show then I was sold! Something in me said Zeeba you are going to cover this even, David was sincere and genuine about this project, I could feel and hear it from his tone, and you know more than anything I love philanthropy work.
What does David Tlale presents Interns Fashion show entails and how long has it been going?
The Interns by David Tlaleprogramme first launched in 2013 in the KwaZulu-Natal region where David Tlale took in two interns from the KZN region. The interns moved to Joburg for a year while they worked closely with Tlale.
“During the first two years those interns were very lucky as they worked very closely with me. I showed them and taught all the bits they don’t get to lean in school. With us, they got to have a real-life experience of the fashion industry, including working backstage with me at New York Fashion Week,” adds Tlale.
What is Tlale’s objective with kind of programme?
The programme’s curriculum is aimed at imparting solid knowledge and a sound transfer of specialist skills needed to survive the business of fashion.
Is there a theme for this year’s show, if so what is it?
Nine fashion design interns will each present a 17-piece collection to showcase their creativity and skill as they commemorate May Day and 40 years since the June 16 uprising.
Congratulations to the names interns and may they soar with prosperity in this Fashion biz! With that being said feast your selves on are some images from their collection:
Before we commenced, we were asked to stand on our feet to sing the National Anthem.

The program has moved from 2 interns since it’s inception in 2013 to Nine this year with hopes of rolling it out nationally as of 2017. Kudos to you King David Tlale and Team for making all this possible! OnPoint PR thank you for the invite.
